The peace of the Golden Ox was only written once by Lee Falk but has been included in several Team Fantomen stories and is a key element to help keep peace in the jungle.

The Oogaan tribe made the carving and all tribes donated gold to pour over the carving. Every year, the tribes gather and shoot an arrow into the statue to pledge peace in the jungle.

It started with a peace between the Oogaan and the Wambesi tribe. From there other tribes joined in on the peace treaty. There is no exact date or which Phantom started this but it is at least the first, second or third Phantom. In the Team Fantomen story "The Devil's Smoke" featuring the third Phantom the treaty was in its infancy.
