President Goranda is the first president of Ivory-Lana after it gained independence. He first met Luaga at Oxford and became life time friends. Goranda studied to become a lawyer.

He has been given several first names by Lee Falk. Team Fantomen has given him a separate name. The names include: Tolando, Goran, first initial of J in one story and Abraham. Your guess of a first name is as good as ours.

Goranda is more of a peaceful pacifist compared to Luaga. He is not a fighter.

One story has him married but every other story has him single.
